Analysis of my goals and accomplishments of 2013
This has been one of the most exciting, educational and beneficial years of my life.
And the main reason I was able to accomplish so much, is because I took the time to write down my Awesome Bucket goals at the beginning of 2013, and committed to following through in the 12 months that followed.
Setting the course early and posting them online not only set me on the right course, but it also helped me stay organized and accountable.
And for the most part, I was able to keep my eyes on the prize throughout the year. In June, I checked in with a mid-year report card, and now I’m following up with a final recap.

A look at my goals for 2013 and the progress made after six months.
Back in January, I was pretty inspired when I posted my Awesome Bucket v2013, listing out my goals for the coming year.
My passion bucket overflowed with aspirations of becoming an Ironman, feeding my writing tree, and setting a course toward travel, development and above all, excitement.
I posted my goals to hold myself accountable for the rest of the year and help keep them top of mind.
And now that we’re about halfway through the year, it’s time to check in and report on how things are going.
Did my passion bucket drain when the rubber met the road?
Was my plate too full with all these goals?
Have I lost focus and forgotten about my one thing?

In my previous post, you saw how my passion bucket runneth over in excitement for the coming year, and learned about a smarter strategy to attack our 2013 New Year’s resolutions.
Well, it’s January and naturally, we’re geeking out at the starting line. The gym is packed, junk food is tossed in the trash and – after we’ve cleaned up and recovered from all the New Year’s Eve shenanigans – we find ourselves pointed in the right direction.
Showing up is a crucial step to accomplishing our goals for the New Year. And since we’re here, with full passion buckets in hand, we can check that off the list.
But the next two steps are the big ones: finding your one thing, and mapping out the routine.
