Key priorities for my annual quest for success

For the fifth consecutive year I’m publishing my list of goals for the year.

Laying them out like this holds me accountable, keeps me organized and hopefully helps others do the same.

Over the past four years I’ve completed 28 out of 39 goals, including: becoming an Ironman (2013), doing a handstand (2014), getting my MBA and almost straight A’s (2015), and traveling to China (2016).

After scoring my lowest accomplishment rate last year – 44%, but still a good year – I’m ready to bounce back and go after some big, elusive and fun goals in 2017.

2015 Awesome Bucket Results

7/10 goals accomplished in one of the toughest and most rewarding years of my career

The Year of the Grind – that’s my title for 2015.

Maybe I’m exaggerating, but I can’t remember another time when I pushed myself harder, piled more on my plate and sustained such a consistently and dangerously close-to-capacity work load than over the past 12 months.

It never let up.

Awesome Bucket III: Challenge 2015

In this, my third annual Awesome Bucket Challenge, I break down the primary goals I’ve set for myself in 2015. As per usual, they’re broken down into four categories, followed by a few notes on how I plan to make them happen.

While I may be posting late this year, rest assured, I’ve been cranking away on the Awesome Bucket for these first few months of 2015 and have already made some great headway.

And even though House of Cards Season 3 tanked, and Suns management has returned to their mind-boggling, downward-spiraling old ways, this year is off to a blazing start: work has been crazy with cool projects, big changes and opportunities to stretch myself; and the W.P. Carey MBA program keeps challenging me to my core and surprising me with unforeseen benefits. I’m busier than I can ever remember, but it’s a good-busy and I’m excited to keep it going.
